The Walcha Business Group invites you to nominate your business, your staff or yourself for a 2026 Walcha Business Award.
We’ve made the process simple. No lengthy written submissions — just tell us what makes you, your business or your organisation stand out, and we’ll help you tell your story.
STEP 1: FIND THE CATEGORY THAT BEST FITS
Award Categories
Business Excellence – Business to Business
A business that provides exceptional products, services or expertise to other businesses and demonstrates strong performance, relationships and results.
Business Excellence – Business to Consumer
A business that delivers an outstanding customer experience, strong performance and a valued product or service directly to consumers.
New & Emerging Business
A business in its early years that is showing strong potential, growth, determination and a clear vision for the future.
Business Innovation Award
A business that has introduced a new idea, product, service, process, technology or way of doing business that creates genuine value.
Business Leader Award
An individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership, contributes to the success of their business and positively influences the wider business community.
Young Business Leader Award
A business leader aged under 30 who demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, achievement and potential.
Outstanding Employee Award
An employee who consistently goes above and beyond, contributes to their organisation’s success and makes a difference to customers, colleagues or the community.
Community Organisation Award
A community organisation, not-for-profit, social enterprise or volunteer-led organisation making a significant contribution to Walcha.
STEP 2: NOMINATE BY 5pm, 30 August 2026
Nomination is easy. Simply send us:
- Your name
- Your business or organisation name
- Your contact details
- The category you are entering
- In 25 words or less, tell us why you excel in that category

You can nominate yourself, your business, a staff member or someone else you think deserves recognition.
STEP 3: TELL US YOUR STORY 1 – 24 September 2026
Once you’ve nominated, the Walcha Business Group will contact you to arrange the next step.
You can choose to:
- have a short interview in person or online; or
- provide a video answering a few simple questions.
We’ll ask about your achievements, your plans for the future, what your customers or community love about you, and possibly one question specific to your award category.
No lengthy written submission required.
STEP 4: WE’LL COME TO YOU 12 – 30 October 2026
Finalists will be notified on 11 October 2026 following a simple judging process.
If you are a finalist in a relevant category, we’ll arrange a short site visit so the judges can experience your business or organisation.
The visit will take no more than 30 minutes, with appointments arranged at a time that works for you.
STEP 5: LET’S CELEBRATE Friday 13 November 2026
Set aside the evening of Friday 13 November to celebrate the achievements of Walcha’s businesses, leaders, employees and community organisations. Details of the event will be released closer to the date.
